Nepal sees 1,128 new coronavirus cases, 14 deaths in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 1,128 new cases of coronavirus and 14 deaths in the past 24 hours as of Friday. Nepal recorded 1,369 new coronavirus cases and 12 deaths on Thursday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 666 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 462 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 203 cases in Kathmandu, 17 in Bhaktapur and 45 cases in Lalitpur, taking the Valley’s total to 265 cases.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 14 coronavirus-related deaths have been added to the COVID-19 death tally in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,878 to date.

Currently, there are 27,441 active cases in the country as 2,215 infected patients recovered.
