Manma facing drinking water crisis



MANMA: Manma of Khandachakra municipality-1 in Kalikot district has been facing drinking water crisis for the past few days.

There is drinking water crisis due to lack of appropriate distribution system.

A local Ram Bahadur Nepali said that drinking water shortage has surfaced due to negligence of Drinking Water Users Committee in improving the distribution system. Nepali shared that they have been compelled to walk a long distance to manage drinking water.

Chairperson of Manma Drinking Water Users Committee, Ganesh Bahadur Shahi, said, “Some problems have surfaced in the water distribution system and it will be resolved soon.” He shared that the problem has surfaced due to some problems in pipeline as the drinking water has been brought to the district headquarters from far away.

Similarly, Nepal Tarun Dal, Kalikot, the wing organization of the Nepali Congress, has also urged to resolve the drinking water crisis at Manma immediately.
