President thanks govt. for arranging opportunity to pay tribute



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has extended thanks to the government for the opportunity to pay tributes to Prithvi Narayan Shah, the hero of Nepal’s national unification, and Kaji Kalu Pandey, the warrior of the campaign.

In a Tweet Tuesday afternoon, the President has expressed gratitude to different institutions, local levels, all the security bodies, including the Nepali Army, and all others involved for arranging the event on the occasion of the National Unity Day.

President Bhandari offered floral tributes to the statue of Shah, visiting the Main Gate of Singhadurbar today.

Likewise, President Bhandari visited Dahachowk in Chandragiri Municipality-1 to pay floral tributes to the statue of Kaji Kalu Pandey. On the occasion, President Bhandari inspected the physical infrastructures being developed at Dahachowk area in Chandragiri Municipality.
