Nepal records 2,444 new COVID-19 cases, one death in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 1,286 fresh coronavirus cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 2,444 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,981 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 463 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 980 persons in Kathmandu, 221 in Lalitpur, and 85 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the Kathmandu valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 1286 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry,  one more has succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours taking the coronavirus death toll in the country 11,607 till date.

Meanwhile, 213 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
