Two die, three go missing in Kalikot bulldozer mishap

Two persons died and three others went missing after a bulldozer met an accident in Andherikhola cliff of Sanni Triveni Rural Municipality-1 in Kalikot district on Saturday.

Three persons have sustained injuries in the accident, the District Police Office, Kalikot, confirmed.

Unified Socialist submits PR candidate list to EC

The CPN (Unified Socialist) has finalized the names of its province assembly members under the Proportional Representative (PR) system.

The 13th Standing Committee meeting of the party held under the chairpersonship of its chair Madhav Kumar Nepal on Saturday chose the names of province assembly members in line with the list sent by the Election Commission, informed Publicity Department Chief and under-general-secretary of the party, Jagannath Khatiwada.

Maoist Center submits PR candidates’ list to EC (With list)

The CPN-Maoist Center has submitted the list of candidates under proportional representation (PR) system for the post of House of Representatives member to the Election Commission (EC) on Saturday.

On behalf of the party, Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ prepared the list.

The Maoist Center got 14 seats under PR category.

NC finalizes names of 32 PR candidates for HoR (with list)

The Nepali Congress (NC) has finalized the list of candidates to represent the party in the parliament under the proportional representation (PR) system.

NC senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel said that the party office bearers’ meeting held in Baluwatar on Saturday has finalized the list.

He informed that Jeevan Pariyar (from Dalit), Bimalendra Nidhi (from Madhesi) and Prakasharan Mahat from (Khas-Arya) are the three leaders selected under the PR category.

After the work executive committee could not reach a decision, the list was finalized by the office bearers’ meeting.

CPN-UML Secretariat finalizes PR candidates (with list)

CPN-UML’s Secretariat meeting has finalized the name of leaders to represent the party in the parliament under the proportional representation (PR) category.

The UML Secretariat meeting held at the central office in Chyasal, Lalitpur, on Saturday finalized the names of 34 people including 12 males and 22 females.

NC finalizes PR candidates for Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Province Assembly ( With list)

KATHMANDU: The meeting of the central work executive committee of Nepali Congress (NC) held in Kathmandu on Saturday has finalized the list of the leaders to join Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim province assemblies under the proportional representation (PR) system.

According to NC sources, only women leaders could be sent to Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim province assemblies. The names were decided by the committee according to the closed list submitted earlier to the Election Commission.

Maoist Center is still at the center of national politics: Prachanda

CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ stated that even though the party could not secure as many seats as it wanted, there is no reason for feeling embarrassed as the party has still a decisive role in national politics.

Addressing a program organized in Kathmandu on Saturday, the Maoist Center Chair said that no one can underestimate their role in national politics.
