Maoist Center is still at the center of national politics: Prachanda



KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ stated that even though the party could not secure as many seats as it wanted, there is no reason for feeling embarrassed as the party has still a decisive role in national politics.

Addressing a program organized in Kathmandu on Saturday, the Maoist Center Chair said that no one can underestimate their role in national politics.

“It is not a small matter that 122 municipalities are under the control of Maoist Center, we are around 74 in the province,” he said, adding, “Although we could not get as many seats as we expected, our role has not diminished, we are still at the center of national politics.”

Prachanda assured that the party could get better position ahead if all leaders and cadres reconnect them to the grass-root people and their concerns.

Prachanda expressed his concern over the fact that the national politics could get contaminated due to the ill-intent forces prevalent everywhere.
