Thirteen people attending funeral go missing since Saturday



KALIKOT: Thirteen people attending a funeral have gone missing at Ranchuli village, Tilagupha Municipality-4 in the district.

Among the missing are the ward chair Para Bahadur Shahi and School Management Committee chairperson, Chhatra Bahadur Shahi.

They had participated in the funeral of a local youth Hemraj Shahi who died on Saturday, said Mahendra Bahadur Shahi, Deputy Mayor of Tilagupha Municipality.

The Deputy Mayor said that two among the 15 people who had attended the funeral have come into contact and 13 are still missing.

Chief District Officer Ram Hari Sharma said that a police team has been mobilized to carry out a search for the missing persons.
