5 people die in Mugu landslide

KATHMANDU: As many as five people died when a landslide washed away Man Bahadur Kumai’s house in Chhayanath Rara Municipality-11 of Mugu.

11 people are missing, police said.

Chief District Officer Rom Bahadur Mahat said that a team of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army has already reached the spot to search for the missing persons.

Meanwhile, Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has directed the concerned district administration and security agencies to immediately rescue those injured in floods and landslides in Mugu, Kalikot and Humla districts.
