Nov 20 elections: Candidacies filed in Bhaktapur



BHAKTAPUR: Registration of nomination for the election to the members of House of Representatives (HoR) and Province Assembly has been completed in Bhaktapur.

Candidates have registered their nominations for two HoR electoral constituencies and four province assembly constituencies in the elections scheduled for November 20.

On behalf of Nepal Workers’ and Peasant’s Party, Prem Suwal has registered his candidacy for HoR member from Bhaktapur constituency-1.

Likewise, Sunil Gothe Basu of CPN (Maoist Centre) on behalf of ruling coalition, Nawaraj Gelal of CPN-UML, Bharat Bahadur Khadka of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and Madhav Khatry of RPP-Nepal filed their candidacies for HoR member.

Likewise for province assembly members, Nepali Congress candidate Suresh Shrestha, UML’s Mohanbir Shrestha, NWPP’s Min Bahadur Bata, JSP-Nepal’s Kalpana Sunuwar and RPP’s Raju Kuinkel filed their candidatures for Province Assembly -1 (A).

Likewise, NC’s Pawan Bhuju on behalf of ruling coalition, UML’s Narayan Sundar Sintakala, NWPP’s Surendra Raj Gosain, RPP’s Roshan Napit and RPP-Nepal’s Shanti Bhakta Bati and JSP-Nepal’s Bisworam Shilpakar filed their nominations for Province Assembly 1 (B).

Likewise, Durlav Thapa from Nepali Congress, Mahesh Basnet from CPN-UML, Anuradha Thapamagar from NWPP, among others have registered their candidacies for HoR member from constituency-2.

NC’s Bishnu Raj Karki, UML’s Kiran Thapa, NWPP’s Sarosj Raj Gosain among others have filed candidacies for province assembly member from Bhaktapur constituency 2 (A).

Likewise, Dr Rajendraman Shrestha of CPN (Unified Socialist) on behalf of ruling coalition, UML’s Chandan Krishna Shrestha, NWPP’s Ramesh Baidya and RPP’s Pancha Krishna Shrestha among others have registered candidacies for province assembly member from constituency 2 (B).

Meanwhile, a total of 14 candidates, including four independent have registered their candidacies for HoR member from Bhaktapur constituency-1, shared Information Officer of District Returning Officer Bhim BC.

Likewise, a total of 26 candidates, including 11 independent candidates registered their nominations for constituency-2.
