Nepal sees 163 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 163 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Saturday.

Of the confirmed cases, 112 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 51 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 3,746 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,718 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,028 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 2,430 active cases in the country as 130 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus related death has been recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 12,012 to date.
