Parties which could not retain the unity for a couple of years have no moral grounds to criticize others: Leader Singh

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Prakashman Singh has said that those who could not retain the party unity formed under their leadership for a couple of years do not have the moral grounds to claim for new leadership.

Speaking at a program organized in Kathmandu on Saturday, he said that mere accusations that old people cannot do anything cannot be considered as proof of competence.

“The new parties say that old parties could not do anything,” leader Singh said, adding,  “If the party established under your leadership cannot last for a couple of years, can you show it by working? Do you have the ability?”

Saying that forming and running a political party is not like running a cheap shop, he challenged the new parties to show through their acts rather than words.
