KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is issuing treasury bills worth Rs 22.60 billion tomorrow, (Monday, July 11).
The Central Bank is issuing the treasury bills through the tender process in a bid to mobilize short-term loans for the government.
Accordingly, NRB is issuing treasury bills worth Rs 8 billion for a period of 91 days, treasury bills worth Rs 6 billion for a period of 182 days and treasury bills worth Rs 8.60 billion for a period of 364 days.
The treasury bill of 91 days’ period will mature on October 11, 2022 while the treasury bill of 182 days’ period will be mature on January 10, 2023 and that of 365 days’ period will be mature on July 9, 2023.
The auctioning of the treasury bills will open online at 3 pm.
Interested A,B and C category Banks and Financial Institutions (BFIs), non-BFIs, institutions and general public can bid for the bills.
