 Fire guts cotton factory, property worth Rs 8.6 mln



RUPANDEHI: A fire has broken out at a cotton factory in Sainamaina of Rupandehi district.

The fire broke out at Shiva Bhavani Cotton Industry in Kaluani Purano Bazaar of Sainamaina municipality-6 on Friday morning.

The fire was brought under control by three fire brigades of Sainamaina municipality and Butwal Sub-metropolis, police, army, people’s representatives, municipal police, and locals after three hours.

According to Rupandehi Police Spokesperson DSP Navratna Poudel, the fire has caused an estimated loss of Rs 8.6 million.
