ICC Men’s Cricket WC League 2: Nepal lose to Oman by 13 runs



KATHMANDU: Nepal lost to Oman in the first match of the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 triangular series in the United States.

Nepal lost to Oman in the match by 13 runs on Friday morning at the Moosa Cricket Ground in Texas.

Following the 212-run target set by Oman, Nepal were bowled out for 198 in 49.4 overs.

Aarif Sheikh played a half-century inning of 66 runs for Nepal.

Oman, who had won the toss and elected to bat first, lost eight wickets in the allotted 50 overs and added 211 runs.

Jeeshan Maqsood remained unbeaten with 104 runs for Oman. With this defeat, Nepal is in the sixth position with 12 points in 12 games.

Oman is at the top with 42 points from 33 games. Now Nepal will play the second match against USA on Saturday.

In the third match, Nepal will play against Oman on June 14 and in the last match, Nepal will play against USA on June 15.
