Human resource crunch affects service delivery at land revenue office

GALKOT: Service recipients of West Baglung have been facing trouble in accessing services at land revenue office due to human resource crunch.

The land revenue office here is being run relying on a non-gazetted first class officer. Most recently, a new human resource with same position has been deployed at the office.

Human resource crunch has directly affected the delivery of public services. With the transfer of office chief Dil Bahadur KC on February 15, service delivery has been adversely affected in lack of human resource.

The office having total 13 vacant posts is now being operated relying on two non-gazetted officers, three office assistants and two computer assistants, shared non-gazetted officer Kasiram Khadka.

He also said that it was very difficult to effectively manage service delivery alone for some time.

As informed, the office has a vacant post of an officer, an account officer, three non-gazetted officers and three assistant level staffs.
In an average, 20-25 service recipients are turning up the land revenue office for services.

People coming from different rural municipalities for service at land revenue office have to wait for three-four days due to delay in service delivery, Khadka said.

He further said that the situation was resulted in lack of human resource.
