Borders with India to be closed for four days



BAITADI: Transit points with India in Baitadi and Darchula districts will be sealed off in view of Legislative Assembly elections in Uttarakhand in India scheduled for February 11-14.

Transits at Jhulaghat in Baitadi and Lali, Jholjibi, Dattu, Khalanga, Tigaram and Sitapul in Darchula will be closed from Friday at 5 pm for four days, said Khagendra Bharati, information officer for the district administration office.

To this effect, the Indian administration has sent to the district administration office, Baitadi and Darchula regarding security concerns, he said.
