NEPSE downtrend continues on Thursday, stock market falls by 11.96 points



KATHMANDU: Thursday, the last trading day of the week, has witnessed the two digits fall of 11.96 in the stock market.

Today, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index reached at 2801 points by declining 11.96 points from yesterday’s closing.

According to NEPSE, 69.50 million shares worth Rs 3.82 billion have been bought and sold today. Although the NEPSE index declined by double digits, the index of three groups has increased today.

While the trade group improved by 46 points, the other group improved by 12 points and the mutual fund group improved modestly.

Rest of the groups went red again. The non-life insurance company group declined the most by 81 points while the microfinance group declined by 37 points.

Similarly, development bank group declined by 28 points and hydropower group by 27 points today.
