UML reschedules today’s Secretariat meeting for Saturday

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has rescheduled its Secretariat meeting set for 1 pm today for Saturday.

UML’s Central Office Secretary Bhismaraj Adhikari informed that the meeting called for today has been shifted for 11 am tomorrow.

UML’s Secretariat meeting is scheduled to discuss contemporary politics, recently-concluded general elections, and government formation, among other issues.

According to UML Publicity Department Chief Prithvi Subba Gurung, the meeting will also deliberate on the selection of legislators under the proportional representation quota and also make a review of the election.

The Election Commission on Wednesday sent a letter to the political parties, instructing them to submit the names of legislators appointed by the party under the proportional representation electoral system.

The UML has secured 44 seats under the first-past-the-post electoral system and 34 seats under the proportional representation in the House of Representatives.
