Mahat claims alliance’s majority in elections

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress Vice President Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has claimed that the ruling parties’ alliance would secure a majority win in the elections to the House of Representatives (HoR) and the Province Assembly.

Speaking at a press meet in Biratnagar today, the leader said, “The alliance will get a maximum votes in the elections. So, it will form the next government in the federal and province.”

It may be noted that the voting for the twin elections is taking place simultaneously on November 20. Mahat, who also takes charge of coordinator of the NC HoR and PA elections central publicity committee said the NC would never distribute the dreams which would be unachievable.

“It implements what it speaks.” Stating that the party has brought its plans keeping the issues of the marginalized and backward communities in the top priority, he said the party was always committed to contributing for the cause of the people in need, women and senior citizens.

In his response to a query, he said the party wants to promote the private sector and see the creation of more and more jobs for the people.
