Forest Minister of Province 1 Thapa passes away



BIRATNAGAR: Shekhar Chandra Thapa, Minister of Forests, Environment and Land Conservation of Province No. 1 passed away on Wednesday.

Thapa, 56, was a candidate from the Nepali Congress for the elections to be held on November 20 from the Provincial Assembly Constituency (A) of Morang Constituency-3.

Family sources informed that Thapa passed away at Nobel Medical College in Biratnagar at around 10:30 this morning in the course of treatment.

He was initially infected with dengue. Later he also suffered from pneumonia.
