GEORGIA: Polls in the first key states in the US midterm elections are closing, as millions of Americans cast ballots that will shape the future of the country, BBC reported.
The Senate race in Georgia between Democrat Raphael Warnock and Republican Herschel Walker is currently rated a toss-up, according to CBS News analysis.
Meanwhile, voting has also ended in the battleground state of Florida as well as in New Hampshire, Vermont, and Kentucky, among others, according to BBC.
The results of these elections will decide who will control Congress for the next two years, and threaten to thwart President Joe Biden’s plans.
The Republicans are predicted to take the House while the battle for the Senate is on a knife-edge and too close to call, it said.
Rising prices and abortion policy are the main issues affecting voters’ decisions, according to early exit poll data, the report said.
