Leader Khanal files candidacy from Ilam-1, Nembang from Ilam-2



KATHMANDU: Former prime minister and leader of CPN (Unified Socialist), Jhalanath Khanal, filed candidacy for the election to the Member of House of Representatives from constituency no 1 of Ilam district.

In his absence, party representative Dipak Poudel registered candidacy on behalf of leader Khanal.

In the same constituency, district chairperson of CPN UML Mahesh Basnet filed his candidacy.

Similarly, an independent candidacy is filed by Bikram Pande from the same constituency.

For the provincial assembly election (a), Khinu Langwa of CPN (Unified Socialist) has filed candidacy while Shumsher Rai of Nepali Congress filed candidacy for provincial assembly election (b).

Meanwhile, CPN UML leader Subash Chandra Nembang registered his candidacy for the member of the House of Representatives from constituency no 2 of Ilam.

On behalf of ruling alliance, Nepali Congress district president Dambar Bahadur Khadka registered candidacy.

In the same constituency, central Chairperson of Rastriya Janamukti Party, KP Palungwa, also registered candidacy.
