Maoist Chair Prachanda files nomination from Gorkha 2



KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has filed a nomination to contest in the election to the member of the House of Representatives (HoR) from Constituency number 2 of Gorkha district.

Leader Prachanda has been proposed by Nepal Samajwadi Party (NSP) Chair Dr. Baburam Bhattarai and backed by Nepali Congress Gorkha district secretary Kishor Junga Thapa.

Similarly, Nepali Congress’s Surendra Pande and Nepal Samajwadi Party’s Phanindra Devkota have also filed candidacy for the election to the members of the Provincial Assembly from A and B constituencies of Gorkha-2.

Chairman Prachanda reached Gorkha along with NSP Chair Dr. Bhattarai and CPN (Maoist Center) senior vice-chair Narayan Kaji Shrestha to register the candidacy.
