UML Chair Oli registers nomination for HoR from Jhapa 5



JHAPA: CPN (UML) Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has registered his candidacy for the election to the member of the House of Representatives (HoR) from the Jhapa constituency- 5.

The former Prime Minister visited the Office of the Election Officer in the constituency this afternoon and filed his nomination. He arrived here on Saturday for the purpose of registering nomination today.

The voting for the HoR elections is taking place on coming November 20 together with the voting of the Province Assembly (PA).

According to UML Jhapa constituency’s election mobilisation committee’s coordinator and party politburo member Devendra Dahal, party central member Romnath Oli who is also the candidate representative and PA member Ambika Khanal proposed the UML Chair’s nomination, which was backed by central members Gita Adhikari and party district chair Deepak Karki.

Hikmat Kumar Karki and Hom Bahadur Thapa reached the Office along with Oli to file the candidacy nomination papers towards the PA elections: Jhapa 5 (A) and (B) respectively.
