EC facilitating candidates not able to reach their constituency for nominations



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission has been facilitating the candidates, who are not able to reach their constituencies to file their candidacies, to do so from its secretariat at Kantipath in Kathmandu.

Today is the date for the candidates to file their candidacies under the first-past-the-post election system. The election to the House of Representatives and Province Assemblies is scheduled for November 20.

The EC has been facilitating by sending those candidates’ documents to the Office of the Election Officer concerned in view of the difficulty in transport in several places due to the incessant rainfall since some days, flood, landslide and whose official letter of candidacy was received late from their parties.
