NC Madhesh Province decision not to accept the coalition without 60 percent seats



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress Madhesh province has decided to take 60 percent of the seats in the five-party coalition in the elections of the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assembly to be held on November 20.

When the Madhesh-centric party Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) is demanding to get more seats in Madhesh than in the past, the NC Provincial Working Committee decided to get 60 percent seats.

According to NC Madhesh province committee head Shreekrishna Yadav, NC decided to claim for 60 percent seats in the constituencies of Madhesh province.

“We have decided to get 60 percent seats and sent it to the central working committee,”  Yadav said on Friday.

There are 32 constituencies of the House of Representatives in Madhesh Province. In the  2017 election NC had got elected only in six seats . Similarly out of 64 constituencies in the province election, NC had won only eight seats.
