Nepal sees 1,090 new coronavirus cases, two deaths in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 1,090 new cases of coronavirus and two deaths in the past 24 hours as of Tuesday.

Of the confirmed cases, 560 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 530 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 6,300 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 2,958 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 3,342 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 5,806 active cases in the country as 438 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Two more coronavirus related deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, and with this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country has reached 11,974 to date.
