Oxygen plant at Khotang District Hospital comes into operation

KHOTANG: The oxygen plant established at District Hospital Khotang has come into operation.

The plant established by the Province 1 government at the hospital premises produces at least 20 to 25 cylinders of oxygen on a daily basis, according to Ushadevi Shrestha, a biomedical technician at the hospital.

Hospital sources said that the oxygen produced from the plant will be given to patients admitted to the hospital free of cost.

However, patients undergoing treatment at private hospitals will be charged Rs 15 per kilogram.
