Environment Minister Yadav pledges to free Nepal from plastic pollution

KATHMANDU: Minister for Forest and Environment Pradeep Yadav has expressed his commitment to liberate Nepal from plastic pollution.

Minister Yadav said he was effortful to free Nepal from plastic pollution.

“Plastic-induced pollution is one of the major problems in recent days. We should not make any delay in exploring its solution,” the minister added.

He informed that the ministry has issued a directive to strictly implement the ban on plastic having breadth below 40 microns.

Also on the occasion, Minister shared that the ministry was planning to do further work to make the country free of plastic pollution.

“We also need support from the international community to materialize the campaign,” he noted.
