CPN (Maoist Centre) to run organizational campaign targeting upcoming elections



KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Centre) has decided to run its organizational campaign targeting the upcoming federal and provincial assembly elections.

The government is preparing to hold both elections in the coming November. The CPN (Maoist Centre) has started its internal preparation for the same at a time when the Election Commission and government have already started necessary preparations for the elections.

A Standing Committee meeting of the party held at party headquarters, Paris Danda, today, decided to hold a meeting of the province coordination committee of all provinces and orientation program from August 1-19.

Similarly, the meeting also determined to hold a meeting of Karnali Province and orientation on coming August 14.

After the meeting, CPN (Maoist Centre) Spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara said a decision was taken to form province coordination committee under the leadership of province in-charge comprising central committee members and province office-bearers in order to make coordination between the center and provinces till coming elections.

Preparation has been made to finalize the standing committee, politburo and office-bearers of the CPN (Maoist Centre) within 15 days.

Committee to probe betrayal

The Standing Committee’s meeting has formed a committee to probe betrayal by coalition partner in the recently held local level election. The three-member team coordinated by Tanka Rai has Khimlal Devkota and Mukti Pradhan, informed Spokesperson Mahara.

The Committee will investigate the activities taken place during the election in all 753 local levels and action would be taken according to the report prepared by the Committee.

Committee to resolve issues in ANNISU (Revolutionary)

Similarly, another committee has been formed to resolve the issues prevailing the All-Nepal National Independent Students Union (ANNISU)-Revolutionary, the student wing of CPN (Maoist Centre).

The Committee coordinated by the ANNISU (Revolutionary)’s former President Ramesh Malla included Narendra Neupane and Ratna Dhakal, informed Mahara.
