KMC Mayor Balen holds talks with former PM Dr. Bhattarai

KATHMANDU: Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Mayor Balen Shah has met former Prime Minister and Janata Samajbadi Party Federal Council Chairman Dr. Baburam Bhattarai.

Mayor Shah reached Dr. Bhattarai’s residence on Friday and discussed various issues, particularly the development of Kathmandu City.

Shah also held talks with leader Hisila Yami and her daughter Manushi.

Dr. Bhattarai has posted a picture of his family meeting with Shah on his social media.

“Meaningful dialogue with the KMC Mayor Balendra Shah and his colleagues about the problems of the metropolis and its solutions and planned development,” he has written.

Dr. Bhattarai has also extended best wishes for Shah’s success.

Shah, who was elected to Kathmandu Mayor as an independent candidate, has been holding meetings with top political leaders.

He has already met Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli, and other leaders.
