Lightning claims two lives in Saptari



SAPTARI: Two persons have died after being struck by lightning at Madhuwan of Bodebarsayin Municipality in Saptari district on Thursday.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Madhav Prasad Kafle said 56-year-old Ramji Yadav and Satya Narayan Yadav, 80, were struck by the lightning coupled with rain.

During the time of lightning, they were herding their cattle.

According to police, the two were using a single umbrella during the rain and died on the spot following a lightning strike.
