One held with 516.5 grams of gold at TIA



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested an individual with 516.5 kilograms of gold at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

During a security check, police arrested Jitendra Kumar Yadav of Dhanusha upon his arrival at TIA via a flight of Qatar Airways from Qatar at 9:45 am.

Chief of Custom Office, TIA Mahesh Bhatta said Yadav was arrested with a biscuit of gold weighing 466.5 grams concealed in a false pocket of his underwear along with a gold chain of 50 grams during a security check.

Police said they are investigating the case after taking the arrested under control.
