UML Chair Oli is not a beacon of truth: NC

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) has objected to the statement made by CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli at a press conference on Sunday.

Speaking at a press conference in Sanepa today, Congress spokesperson Prakash Sharan Mahat said that UML Chairman Oli had made false allegations against the party.

“It’s been an established fact that UML Chairman Oli is accustomed to telling lies,” Mahat said.

He also claimed that the UML had no basis to oppose Congress.

It should be noted that UML Chair Oli on Sunday had accused the Nepali Congress of deviating from its principles and ideology.

Speaking at a press conference at the party office in Chyasal on Sunday, Chairman Oli made serious allegations against the NC through a 67-point written statement.

“NC does not believe in preaching like the UML. We do genuine politics based on ground reality, not based on betrayal and deceit,” said Mahat.

He also alleged that Oli’s behavior was widely criticized at the local level.

Mahat further alleged Oli of violating the constitution when he was the Prime Minister.

“During PM Oli’s tenure, there were scandals, including the dissolution of the parliament,” Mahat said.
