Domestic flights to remain closed on election day



KATHMANDU: The Airlines Operators Association of Nepal stated that the air services for the domestic flights will remain closed on May 13 local level elections.

Issuing a press statement on Sunday, the Association’s spokesperson Yograj Kandel said flights for humanitarian rescue, aid flights and flights conducted at the instruction of the government will be operated in line with the Standard Related to Vehicular Movement Management, 2022.

“It is notified that air services for domestic flights to be operated by the airlines associated with the Association will be closed for May 13, 2022,” said the Association apologizing for the inconvenience caused to the passengers due to this.
