One killed in tusker attack



KATHMANDU: A tusker killed a man in Chulachuli Rural Municipality of Ilam on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Ram Bahadur Thukung Rai, 39, of Chulachuli-3, Sammriddi Tole.

A wild elephant attacked him while he was on morning walk. After being injured, he was rushed to the Damak-based Advance Hospital in Jhapa for treatment.

Information Officer at District Police Office, Junga Bahadur Thapa shared that he died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.

The tusker had attacked him in the area which is around 200-meter away from his home.
