Nepal sees 224 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 22 new cases



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 224 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Wednesday. There was no coronavirus-related death in the country in the last 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases today, 68 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 156 from the antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, no coronavirus-related death has been added to the COVID-19 death tally in the past 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,949 to date.

Similarly, Kathmandu valley witnessed 22 coronavirus cases in past 24 hours with five 19 cases in Kathmandu, three in Lalitpur district.

Currently, there are 5,692 active cases in the country as 251 infected patients recovered.
