Political leadership’s myopic vision impeding national drive for development: Dr. Bhattarai



KATHMANDU: Federal Council Chairman of the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has said myopic vision of main political leadership impeded the national drive for development and prosperity.

Addressing a program organized by the National Trade Association in Kathmandu on Sunday, Dr. Bhattarai stressed that the political leadership should wisely make use of experts’ knowledge, skills and experience to realize development and prosperity in the country.

He was of the view that a proper balance should be struck between agriculture, industry and service sectors. He argued if the political leadership strode ahead by acknowledging changes in the neighborhood then the country will develop and prosper quickly.

Noting that the national bureaucracy contained the required manpower to materialize development in the country, he drew attention of the political leadership to wisely utilize the bureaucracy in the course of nation building.

He indicated that the leadership not being able to take into account changed priorities, context and circumstances following years-long struggle was affecting the national drive of development and prosperity.
