NC’s work execution committee to finalize names of PR members

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has called a meeting of the Central Work Execution Committee to finalize the names of the proportional representation (PR) candidates to be sent to the House of Representatives.

Krishna Prasad Paudel, Chief Secretary of the party office, said that the meeting will be held at the party central office in Sanepa on Saturday afternoon.

He said that the party has already instructed the members to attend the meeting.

Nepali Congress had fielded candidates in 91 constituencies under the first-past-the-post category.

The party has become the largest party by winning 57 seats.

Since only one female candidate has been elected under the first-past-the-post system, most of the policymakers to be sent under the proportional representation category will be female members.
