NC expels 74 people, including central member Dinesh Koirala



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has expelled 74 people from the party, including Central member Dinesh Koirala.

According to the NC Central Disciplinary Committee, rebel candidates, their proposers and supporters have been expelled from party membership for up to 5 years.

“In the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly Member Elections to be held on November 20, those who are rebel candidates, including their proponents and supporters, vying polls against the official candidates of the Nepali Congress Party and the candidates supported by the party, such persons are directed to be removed from the records of the party so that they do not even have membership for 5 years, according to clause 4 (a) of Article 34 of the Constitution of the Nepali Congress 2017 (with amendments)”, said the statement issued by the NC.
