Election a battle between progressive and regressive forces: Prachanda

SALYAN: Chairman of CPN Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has claimed that the coalition will get an overwhelming majority in the provincial and House of Representative elections to be held on November 20.

Speaking to journalists in Salyan on Tuesday, Maoist Center Chairman Prachanda said that the coalition will form a new government after the election.

He said that the current election is a battle between progressive and regressive forces as there is no agenda with the other alliance formed under the CPN-UML initiation.

Prachanda remarked that there was no point for the people to believe in KP Oli’s ‘false claims’ as they (the people) have seen how UML Chairman Oli betrayed the public, dissolved the parliament, and attacked the spirit of the Constitution.

Responding to journalists’ queries, Prachanda said that he was not in the race now; however, if the situation demands him as the Prime Minister, he would handle the post.
