NC Gen Secy Thapa likely to contest from Sarlahi 4



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Thapa is likely to leave Kathmandu-4 and become a candidate from Sarlahi-4.

His close friend central member Ajay Babu Sivakoti informed that Thapa will register his nomination on Sunday for Sarlahi-4, a seat allocated to NC from the coalition.

He was only candidate recommended from Sarlahi 4. There, NC establishment wanted to deprive Amaresh Kumar Singh of Shekhar Koirala faction.

Thapa, who became a lawmaker from proportional representation in 2008, was elected from Kathmandu-4 in 2013 and 2017.
