KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Ghanashyam Bhusal announced that he was leaving the party on Saturday.
Bhusal took the decision after the party denied him a ticket to contest the November 20 election.
Bhusal said he decided to quit the party due to party president KP Sharma Oli’s arrogance and arbitrary decisions.
Writing a message on his social media page, Bhusal said, “As I saw no possibility of restoration of policy and system in the party where I devoted my 45 years, I have decided to part ways with it.”
“Everybody knows that I continued my struggle for the restoration of policy and system in the party and the pride of CPN-UML despite suffering discrimination and insult,” he said.
Bhusal said he would always show solidarity with colleagues who are continuing their struggle for upholding rule of law, policy and system in the party.
