Seat allocation: Task force submitting report to top leaders today



KATHMANDU: The task force of the ruling coalition entrusted to prepare a report on the allocation of seats in the November 20 elections is submitting its report to the top leaders today.

A meeting of the task force held on Wednesday decided to submit the report to the top leaders by including the points of agreement and disagreement reached so far about seat sharing in the upcoming elections.

Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, member of the task force and government spokesperson, said that the report will be submitted to the top leaders at 9 am on Thursday.

He said that the working group has almost reached an agreement on the distribution of seats.

The members of the task force include Nepali Congress leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula as the coordinator.

Likewise, NC leaders Gagan Kumar Thapa, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki; Maoist Center leaders Dev Gurung and Barshman Pun from Maoist Centre; Unified Socialist leaders Pramesh Hamal and Beduram Bhusal; Janata Samajwadi Party leaders Sahay Prasad Yadav and Rakam Chemjong; and Rashtriya Janamorcha leaders Puri and Anand Sharma are members of the task force.
