Tikapur declared fully immunized municipality



TIKAPUR: Tikapur municipality in Kailali district has been declared fully immunized municipality.

Mayor Ram Lal Dagaura declared Tikapur fully immunized municipality. Saying Tikapur, Bhajani and Gauriganga have been declared fully immunized municipalities, Minister for Tourism and Environment of Sudurpaschim Province, Man Bahadur Dhami, lauded the activities carried out to achieve sustainable development goals.

Minister Dhami said, “Tikapur has been declared a fully immunized municipality after all the children from 15-23 months got vaccinated on time.”

Urging the municipality to continue this activity in the coming days, he shared that the Sudurpaschim Province government would provide possible support for the same.

Similarly, Dr Nimesh Khatiwada of WHO added, “We are hopeful that Tikapur municipality would be declared fully COVID-19 immunized municipality soon by providing vaccine against COVID-19 to its all citizens.”

Likewise, the Chairperson of Tikapur Hospital Management Committee, Jhapat Sodari shared that the Hospital has been providing easy and smooth service to Tikapur municipality folks by coordinating with the municipality.

The hospital has been running vaccination program against COVID-19 twice a week, he added.
