KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and Unified Socialist senior leader Jhala Nath Khanal has said that the impeachment motion against Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana was not meant to be passed immediately.
Giving a brief response to journalists outside the Parliament Building on Wednesday, former Prime Minister Khanal said that the impeachment motion against Chief Justice Rana was not brought to pass it immediately.
He said that after the registration of the proposal, an impeachment was filed to look into the situation and bring it to a conclusion.
“This proposal is not meant to be passed immediately. There is still time. A committee has been formed to look into the matter,” Khanal told journalists.
