Deliberation on Appropriation Bill underway in parliament



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is underway at the federal parliament building in New Baneshwor.

Lawmakers are deliberating on various topics under the Appropriation Bill, 2079 BS in the meeting.

Deliberation on various topics related to the ministries of labor, employment and social security; culture, tourism, and civil aviation; forest and environment and physical infrastructure and transport under the Appropriation Bill, 2079 BS is taking place.

Parliamentarian Surya Prasad Pathak in the House meeting  on Tuesday urged the parliament to have a serious discussion on altering the plan selection model of the country.

Likewise, another parliament member Nawaraj Silwal highlighted the need to appropriate budget after prioritizing plans and projects based on the needs.

Lawmaker Sita Devi Yadav called for ministry-wise discussions. She drew the government’s attention to the ineffective implementation of the President Chure Conservation Project.
