Lawmakers to continue deliberation on Appropriation Bill today

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is taking place even today.

Lawmakers will continue with the deliberations on various topics under the Appropriation Bill, 2079 BS in the meeting scheduled for 11 am, according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

Taking part in yesterday’s parliamentary deliberation on the ministries of labor, employment and social security; culture, tourism, and civil aviation; forest and environment and physical infrastructure and transport under the Appropriation Bill, 2079 BS, lawmakers batted for changing the existing model for plan selection.

Parliamentarian Surya Prasad Pathak urged the parliament to have a serious discussion on altering the plan selection model of the country.

Likewise, another parliament member Nawaraj Silwal highlighted the need to appropriate budget after prioritizing plans and projects based on the needs.

Lawmaker Sita Devi Yadav called for ministry-wise discussions. She drew the government’s attention to the ineffective implementation of the President Chure Conservation Project.
