NEPSE increases by double digits Sunday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) market rose by double digits on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

Today, the stock market increased by 17.95 points and reached 2256.57 points.

Similarly, the turnover was Rs 1.32 billion.

Shares of 136 companies traded higher, while those of 52 companies saw a decline.

Of these, the share prices of the three companies Jalpa Community Microfinance, Ghalemdi Hydro Nepal and Mountain Energy Nepal rose sharply today.

Shares of Jalpa Community MFI rose by 10 percent to become Rs 1,672.60 per share, Ghalemdi Hydro Nepal rose 8.82 percent to become Rs 232 per share and Mountain Energy Nepal rose 8.66 percent to become Rs 979 per share today.

The investors of Unnati Sahakarya MFI and NIC Asia Select Fund lost the most today. Their share price fell by about 4 percent.

Similarly, the Citizens Investment Trust Company got the highest turnover today. The company had a turnover of over 75.3 million today.
