KATHMANDU: Acting Chief Justice Deepak Kumar Karki has directed Chief Registrar Lal Bahadur Kunwar to appear at Patan High Court, the place of assignment, within three days.

Giving a written letter, Chief Justice Karki asked Kunwar to execute the role of a judge of the Patan High Court.

According to Supreme Court sources, a letter was issued in Kunwar’s name five days ago. However, Kunwar has not yet gone to his assigned place.

Even though Kunwar was appointed as judge of a high court in the second week of March, he was adamant not to go below the rank of Chief Judge.

The Chief Registrar, who is considered the Chief Secretary in the administration of justice, used to be appointed as the Chief Judge of a high court.
